Polymerization processes, the synthesis of high-molecular-weight compounds, plastics molding, and the production of synthetic rubber and synthetic fibers are accompanied by the generation of specific process residues classified under code 07 02 Waste from the production, formulation, supply and use of plastics, synthetic rubber and man-made fibres.

This category includes polymer crumbs, defective blocks, plastic trimmings, off-specification fibers, latex coagulates, as well as liquid oligomers, catalyst residues and process solvents. Since these materials are resistant to natural degradation, they require careful control at the point of generation.

Environmentally responsible handling of such waste at production facilities requires compliance with strict fire safety rules and sanitary standards, as shredded polymer materials and dust can accumulate significant static electricity and be flammable, while toxic residues from off-specification resins or solvents may contaminate soil and air.

They are strictly prohibited from being burned indiscriminately in the open air or left at general waste dumps. Enterprises are required to organize separate collection and temporary storage in closed containers or at specialized sites, and transfer the waste to specialized operators.

The most rational approach to managing this waste is recycling and recovery within the framework of the circular economy.

Thermoplastic waste and process plastic trimmings are shredded, pelletized and returned to the production cycle as secondary raw materials for manufacturing new products, while off-specification rubbers and polymer blends unsuitable for direct recycling are sent to specialized facilities for high-temperature energy recovery or chemical processing.

LLC “DSL-2010” has all the necessary permits and authorizations to carry out its activities:

DSL-2010 LLC carries out operations for the management of hazardous waste on the basis of a license issued by the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources of Ukraine by Order No. 704 dated 17.06.2024.

Waste treatment is carried out in accordance with the permit for waste treatment operations issued by the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources of Ukraine No. 15068/25 dated 30.12.2025.
