The processes of manufacturing household chemicals, cosmetic products, detergents and disinfectants, as well as the processing of fats and ointments, are accompanied by the generation of specific process residues classified under code 07 06 Waste from the production, preparation, supply and use of fats, ointments, soaps, detergents and disinfectants, cosmetics.

This category includes solid non-conforming batches of products, packaging materials containing residues of mixtures, raw material powders, bars of soap, dry cosmetic components, and other similar materials (except liquid solvents, sludges, process liquids, still residues, and filter cakes).

Environmentally sound handling of such waste requires compliance with strict sanitary and fire safety standards, as organic residues of soap, fats, or cosmetics can clutter production areas, create risks of biological decomposition accompanied by unpleasant odors, or form persistent foam and contamination when coming into contact with moisture.

They are strictly prohibited from being indiscriminately discharged into open water bodies or disposed of at ordinary municipal landfills without proper preparation. Enterprises are required to arrange sealed or moisture-protected temporary storage in specially designated closed containers and transfer them exclusively to licensed operators.

The most rational way to manage this waste is its reuse, biological processing, or safe energy recovery. Solid organic residues and non-conforming fatty or soap mixtures, in the absence of toxic impurities, can be sent to specialized facilities for biogas production, composting, or high-temperature incineration.
