Chemical synthesis, mixing, formulation and industrial application of dyes are accompanied by the generation of specific complex residues classified under code 07 03 Waste from the production, formulation, supply and use of organic dyes and pigments (except those mentioned in subcategory 06 11). This category includes off-specification dyes, pigment pastes, filter residues, equipment wash water, still bottoms and intermediate products containing complex aromatic structures and solvent residues.

Since these substances have a high coloring intensity, resistance to external factors and potential toxicity, they require strict control at the accumulation stage.

Environmentally responsible handling of such waste requires compliance with strict industrial and environmental safety rules, as organic dyes and pigments can severely contaminate aquatic ecosystems, create persistent stains and release toxic components in the event of an uncontrolled leak or runoff caused by atmospheric precipitation.

They are strictly prohibited from being discharged into open water bodies or municipal sewage systems or mixed with ordinary household waste. Enterprises are required to arrange sealed temporary storage in special chemically resistant closed containers and transfer these hazardous materials exclusively to licensed operators.

The most rational approach to managing this waste is specialized treatment, recovery of useful fractions or thermal recovery instead of direct disposal.

Since direct material recycling of complex pigments is generally technically impossible due to their multicomponent matrix, they are sent for high-temperature incineration (energy recovery) at specialized facilities equipped with a multistage emissions treatment system, ensuring the complete destruction of toxic organic compounds and protection of the environment.

LLC “DSL-2010” has all the necessary permits and authorizations to carry out its activities:

DSL-2010 LLC carries out operations for the management of hazardous waste on the basis of a license issued by the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources of Ukraine by Order No. 704 dated 17.06.2024.

Waste treatment is carried out in accordance with the permit for waste treatment operations issued by the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources of Ukraine No. 15068/25 dated 30.12.2025.
