Construction processes, product assembly, packaging, and industrial use of special bonding compounds are accompanied by the generation of complex polymer residues classified under code 08 04 Waste from the production, preparation, supply and use of adhesives and sealants (including waterproof products).

This category includes non-conforming liquid and paste-like adhesive mixtures, cured polymer masses, silicone, acrylic and polyurethane sealants, primer residues, as well as contaminated containers and consumable materials. Since these materials contain reactive resins, organic solvents and curing agents, they require careful control during their generation and accumulation at the enterprise.

Environmentally sound management of such waste requires compliance with strict fire safety and occupational health and safety regulations, as liquid adhesives and sealants may release harmful vapors and flammable substances, while hardening directly in production utilities or on open areas, they pose environmental risks.

It is strictly prohibited to indiscriminately discharge them into municipal sewage systems, burn them in the open air, or leave them at ordinary municipal landfills. Enterprises are required to arrange sealed temporary storage in special closed containers or metal containers and transfer them exclusively to licensed operators.

The most rational way to manage these wastes is their reuse, material recycling, or high-temperature treatment instead of direct disposal in landfills.

Polymer residues and non-conforming adhesive mixtures, in the absence of toxic impurities, can be crushed and used as inert fillers in the construction industry, while complex or mixed forms of sealants and liquid adhesives are sent to specialized facilities for controlled thermal destruction with energy recovery and multi-stage emission treatment.
