Disposal cost calculation

The processes of synthesizing, manufacturing, packaging, and quality control of pharmaceutical products are accompanied by the generation of specific biologically active and chemical residues classified under code 07 05 Waste from the production, preparation, supply and use of pharmaceutical products.

This category includes non-conforming products, expired medicines, spent raw material components, still residues, filter sediments, and process solutions containing active pharmaceutical ingredients. Since these substances have pronounced biological activity and the ability to exert a targeted effect on living organisms, they require a special level of control from the moment they are generated.

Environmentally sound handling of such waste requires compliance with the strictest sanitary, epidemiological, and environmental standards, as pharmaceutical substances, even at minimal concentrations, can disrupt the balance of natural ecosystems, contaminate water resources, or promote antimicrobial resistance. They are strictly prohibited from being discharged into the regular municipal sewage system, transported to municipal landfills, or left in open areas.

Enterprises are required to arrange sealed temporary storage in specially protected containers or in facilities with controlled access and to transfer such hazardous waste exclusively to licensed operators.

The most rational way to manage this waste is guaranteed high-temperature destruction or specialized thermal treatment rather than direct disposal. It is sent to specialized facilities for controlled incineration in furnaces equipped with multistage gas-cleaning systems, ensuring the complete destruction of active components and environmental safety.

LLC “DSL-2010” has all the necessary permits and authorizations to carry out its activities:

DSL-2010 LLC carries out operations for the management of hazardous waste on the basis of a license issued by the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources of Ukraine by Order No. 704 dated 17.06.2024.

Waste treatment is carried out in accordance with the permit for waste treatment operations issued by the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources of Ukraine No. 15068/25 dated 30.12.2025.
